My name is Adam Drake, and I'm an Exminster villager. I've lived in the village for a number of years and wanted to provide a place for villagers to communicate on-line, hence Exminster.net.

The site is a pretty much a labour-of-love. I don't make any money from it (although I do sell advertising, it goes towards paying the cost of the webhosting service, along with any leaflet drops we do every now and then).

Its fundamental purpose is to serve the village by providing relevant and interesting information. I hold no political views, and try to only post good news. Exminster.net is not an electronic newspaper. It's just a way for villagers to find and share useful information.

This is easy.

Just email info@exminster.net with your information and I'll find a suitable place to put it.

If it's village news, I'll post it there. If it's information about a community group, I'll put it there. If you're group isn't currently represented by the website, I'll create an area for you and have the main menu point to your area. If you're a local business, I'll post your information in the " Businesses" section. If you want to write articles about the village (eg. natural history) then I'll make you your own section in the "Articles" area.

There is absolutely NO CHARGE for posting news or information. The site exists to provide a service to the village.

Please try to provide a photo, graphic or logo with your article. Articles look boring without a graphic to accompany them!

If I've published something incorrectly or inaccurately, I'll fix the problem as quickly as possible. If you'd like to publish a response to any article, feel free to email your comment to the email above and I'll publish them.

If you are interested in advertising on exminster.net, the charge is £100 for 12 months, or £60 for 6 months.

How online advertising works:

Your advert will join the pool and be displayed in turn. When the advert is clicked on, it will direct the visitor to either your own website (if you have one) or your free business page on exminster.net.

• 40 - 80 unique visitors per day
• 3 page hits per visit (average)
• 2 minutes average site visit time
