Community Groups - Village Action Group

Our photo shows 4 angry village residents, members of the Exminster Village Action Group, on the way to the opening of the Public Inquiry at the Council offices in Newton Abbot on 1st July. A good show of support from Exminster residents was evident at the Public
Inquiry opening yesterday, in addition to our local member of parliament Mr
Richard Younger Ross who spoke fluently in opposition to the development
without the need of prepared notes. Mr Younger Ross was also joined by Sally
Morgan, parliamentary candidate for central Devon. The Exminster Village
Action Group are grateful for both political and press support throughout
this campaign.
The Inspector outlined the agenda for the next 4 days including
presentations from Peter King, Chairman of Exminster Parish Council and
Rosemary Sanders, Chair of Exminster Village Action Group. Much hard work
has gone on behind the scenes to pull together impressive and professional
presentations. Peter King can be heard speaking on Thursday morning and
Rosemary Sanders is speaking this afternoon.
Anyone wishing to attend is welcome.
