primaryschoollogoAll children at Exminster Primary School received the following letter this week:

Dear Parents,

It is with a mixture of sadness and excitement that I am writing to inform you of my retirement from Headship.  After twenty six years of being a Head Teacher, the last twenty three of which have been at Exminster, I feel it is the right time to move on.  We have received a very good OFSTED report, our SAT results are among the highest in England and we have successsfully negotiated the next phase of new buildings.

I shall be leaving at half term this Autumn with total confidence in Mrs Whalley and Mrs Gilronan to lead the school forward as Acting Head and Acting Deputy Head respectively.

It has been a pleasure and an honour to lead this school over the last couple of decades, seeing it grow from 83 on roll to 353.  I would like to thank you as parents, as well as the wider community, for supporting me in my role and making it such a rewarding experience.

Yours sincerely

RA Foale
