Community Groups - Village Fete

fete1 It’s Competition Time! With three different age categories and only 20p to enter there is something for everyone.

Adult Competitions:

Jam/Marmalade (marks for Flavour, Consistency, Colour, Presentation)
Chutney (marks as above)
Sponge Cake (marked for Flavour, Appearance, Texture)
Cordial/Alcohol (marks for Flavour, Appearance, Colour)

Photograph - 'People in Exminster' (marks for Originality, interpreting Theme, Expertise)

Flower Arrangement - Inspired by the Queens Jubilee (maxi 30cm x 60cm high)

Any home crafted item of your choice ( marks for Originality, Expertise, Appearance)

Children 9-16 years:

Garden on a plate (size 10") (marks for Visual/Colour, Originality, Expertise)
Matchbox Challenge
Decorated Cupcakes x 3 (cake doesn't need to be home made)

Photograph - ‘People in Exminster’ (marks for Originality, interpreting Theme, Expertise)
Home made pizza (size 7 - 12")

Children up to 9 years:

Animal made from Fruit/veg
Matchbox Challenge
Decorated Cupcakes x 3 (cake doesn't need to be home made)

In honour of the Queen’s Jubilee there will be a prize for the person dressed in the best 1952 style costume.

Don’t forget our very popular PET SHOW which will be held on the morning of the fete – bring your animals along to join in the fun!

This year we have trophies to present to the winners of the It’s a Knockout Competition and the Tug of War. Why not get a team together from your work, your street, your family…you can register before the event, or just turn up on the day and take part.
