cricket The 2012 cricket season is just around the corner & this year promises to be one of the most exciting seasons in the clubs 118 years history. The new pavilion is now almost complete & after many hours of hard work the reward is for all to see with a very attractive building sitting in the wonderful surroundings at Trehill. The new facilities will be ready for the first match of the new season on Sat April 14th & the will be officially opened by former England bowler Dereck Underwood on Sunday July 22nd, when the club will also be holding a fun day for all members & vice presidents & friends to enjoy. More details on the events for that day wil be advertised nearer the time.

The club are always looking for new players & can accommodate . for all different levels of ability The Saturday 1st team play in the Devon League E Division & the second XI play also on Saturdays in the 2nd XI Devon League E Division, but if friendly cricket is your forte the club play friendly matches on Sundays ,plus April & Sept weekends & also some mid week matches so there is plenty of choice for everyone . We also run a very successful junior section for ages 6 to 16 & run coaching & training evenings every Friday from 6 00 pm . The first session starts on Friday 27th April ,more details from Steve Passmore on 07885 495865
We run 3 sides in the East Devon Junior league at UNDER 10 & , UNDER 12 Plus UNDER 14 level. We would be delighted to hear from you so why not come along. A Pre season social( for juniors only) has been arranged for FRIDAY April 20th at the Exeter Court Hotel when all details of the forth coming season will be announced( from 6-30pm).

Our overseas player this year is Romesh Milroy Silva from Sri Lanka who is a qualified coach & has represented SRi Lanka at u 19 level & has toured Australia & Rumesh will be helping out with coaching for both Senior & Junior sections so all members will have the opportunity to receive quality coaching. Senior net practice starts on Tuesday March 27th at 6-15 & Junior coaching on Friday April 27th (6-15)
