Suspicious Door to Door Salesman in Exminster 18th Jan (afternoon)– anyone seen him?

Anyone seen a short, stocky man, with very short brown hair, navy jacket and jeans, carrying a heavy navy blue holdall? He went to our neighbour’s house in Limes Court on the Main Road, and walked in past her without invitation, trying to sell cheap tea towels, pegs etc at very high prices. He had no ID nor representing any company. Thankfully she wasn’t taken in by him.

The police have been informed, and have been looking for him.

He’s been here before, except this time we were ready for him and reported him straight away. Crimestoppers advised ringing Devon & Cornwall Police on 101. Police officer advised us to keep doors locked and report him if appears again. He seems to be preying on the elderly but visits anyone's home.

Does Exminster have a Neighbourhood Watch group here?
